For those of you that are not sure what I am talking about, it seems to me that France, with regard to World Cup Rugby tournaments, has become a bit of a bogey team for the All Blacks, rather like Poland is for the English soccer team…  They crop up at crucial moments and ruin the party!

Oh! The stick I have taken today. I feel like it was I, personally who sent off Luke.

Also I was thinking today, some four years ago the All Blacks had beaten Wales in the quarter finals and there was a real sense of “Yes, Wow, Wales MADE IT to the quarter finals! Go Wales!”

But know its the All Blacks in the Welsh position, Doom and Gloom. I think NZers have a slighly elevated expectation of their national team. If they HAD won the whole thing, it would have been “Yeah, of course.” No team, no coach, can live up to that. When everyone thinks your on top their is only one direction to go in.

I have to confess that I have no knowledge of the game with the pointy ball, I know that that is sacrilege here. However just to balance that and before you all jump to any conclusions, I balance that ignorance with a rabid dislike for the ‘beautiful’ game! So really I have been gloating today just to irritate people and it has worked! On a more worrying note, the women’s refuge is expecting an increased workload this week based on the poor result. How appalling, what does that say about modern society?
